Burning down CC distillery may be difficult since they don't really have one. They get all their juice from HH and/or BT. If you burn those down we won't have anymore Stagg or Evan Williams Single Barrel.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Handy, but haven't made any notes. I will give you my conclusions very soon from my living room: the appropriate place for me to taste whiskey.

The toasting nuts was actually just describing the flavors I got from the whiskey. No actual nuts required.

I must say this banter about this fine whiskey is exhilarating. I do have a question. Were you toasting nuts over the fire or are toasted nuts used in the process of distillation. Did you put the hot nuts in the whiskey or enjoyed them as an aside? This is a very interesting approach that I must experience. I am an old whiskerer and hail from the hills of kentuckey.

Unfortunately, due to scheduling, I tasted this offering independently from my regular tasting partner, Dave.

This is an absolute treasure. The entire flavor spectrum speaks to autumn spices. I discovered a little less nut and more roasted pumpkin seeds.

I personally found ALOT of nutmeg on the tongue and one can really see how the wheat smoothed out the peppering. There could have even been some whispers of cider.

My experience was a long finish as well, maybe not quite the duration that Dave enjoyed; and that makes me a little jealous as the finish was a silky and sweet. I think the sweetness was molasses?

There are some additional subtleties to distinguish; as always, more work to be done on this offering (but it’s a labor of love)

I hope you stretched a little before jumping from the Bushmills to the Sazerac... that's quite a leap. But what a great way to show the difference.
